Shampooing my cousins hair, lord knows 4c Hair is so precious. #Allhairishoodhair
Let’s just say it went WAYYYY better than the last time.
I started off with co-washing my hair with Pantene’s Truly Natural Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner.
After two washes, I conditioned with Pantene’s Truly Natural Deep Conditioner. I detangled my hair with a wide tooth comb and then rinsed it out with cold water.
Then, I deep conditioned with Shae Moisture’s Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque. I had four sections on each side of my head, with eight sections in total. It was easier to apply than the first time I used it because I had detangled it in the shower. Once applying the masque I would twist each section. I put a plastic cap on my head, then two Turbie Twists and I went to sleep.
I woke up this morning around 12 and rinsed the masque out. My hair felt so soft and my curls were popping.
I then followed heyfranhey’s method of doing a wash n go. The four products she uses in order are
- water based leave-in conditioner
- cream or butter
(Products and tools I used to achieve my wash n go)
Instead of a cream or butter, I tried using Pantene’s Truly Natural Defining Curls Custard and it didn’t define my curls at all. So I washed that section out and used the argan oil Ecostyler gel instead.
I put my hair into the eight sections like I had when I deep conditioned my hair to apply the four products except I parted my hair into how I wanted it styled.
When I was done I used my Revlon Turbo Styler blowdryer and blowdryed it until it was almost dry. I also scrunched the section of my heat damaged ends in the process so they wouldn’t be that noticeable.
Here are the results!
